Calling Students from EduCtrl

Learn how to place calls to students directly from EduCtrl CRM using integrated outbound calling services.

Prerequisites

  • Outbound calling service must be integrated via Settings > Outbound Call (e.g., Twilio, Exotel)
  • User must have permission to initiate calls
  • Student profile must include a valid phone number

Step-by-Step Instructions

1. From the Leads or Students Page

  1. Go to Leads > Manage Leads or Students > Manage Students from the left-hand menu.
  2. Search for the student or lead you want to call.
  3. In the Actions column, click the Call icon (phone symbol).
  4. The call will be initiated using the configured outbound service.
  5. Speak directly through your browser or linked device.

2. From Inside the Student Profile

  1. Navigate to the student profile by clicking View.
  2. In the top section (beside the phone number), click the Call icon.
  3. The call will be initiated using the configured dialer.

Tips & Best Practices

  • Always confirm the contact number before placing the call.
  • Add a follow-up note after the call for tracking purposes.
  • Use the integrated dialer only during working hours or in the student’s time zone.
  • Use a headset for better audio quality and less background noise.

Troubleshooting or FAQs

Q: The call icon is disabled.
A: Make sure the outbound calling service is integrated under Settings > Outbound Calling, and verify that the user has the correct permission.

Q: I cannot place a call.
A: Check your internet connection, ensure the student has a valid phone number, and verify your browser’s microphone settings.
