Staff Time Tracking – Clock-In & Clock-Out
EduCtrl includes a built-in staff attendance tracking system that allows team members to record their working hours using the Clock-In and Clock-Out feature available in the staff panel.
The attendance controls are located in the top header bar of the staff panel.
How to Clock-In
At the beginning of the workday, staff members should click the “Check-in” button to start tracking their working hours.
When the Check-in button is clicked, the browser will request permission to access the user’s location. Staff members must allow location access for the check-in process to complete successfully. This helps the system record the location from where the user checked in.
Once checked in, the system automatically starts tracking the staff member’s working time.
Break & Check-Out Options
After checking in, the “Check-out / Break” dropdown becomes available in the header bar. The following options can be selected:
- Short Break
- Meal Break
- Other Break
- Check-out
Staff members should select the appropriate break option whenever they take a break during working hours.
At the end of the day, users should select “Check-out” to end their work session. This ensures accurate tracking of total working hours and break durations.
Working Time Timer
A live timer is displayed in the top bar after check-in. The timer shows the total working time for the current day and updates automatically every minute.
Staff Attendance Reports
Administrators can view detailed attendance reports from:
Sidebar Menu → Staff → Staff Attendance
The attendance module provides comprehensive insights based on Clock-In and Clock-Out activity, including:
- Attendance summary
- Working hours charts
- Calendar view
- Detailed attendance reports
- Average daily working hours
- Total break hours
- Late arrival statistics
These reports help management monitor staff attendance, productivity, and working patterns effectively.
