Configuring Student Status Options
In EduCtrl CRM, every student record is assigned a Student Status that represents the student’s current stage in the admission or onboarding process. This can also be referred to as the Student Lifecycle Stage.
Default Student Status Values
EduCtrl includes the following predefined student status options:
- Pending
- Course Preference Added
- Documents Uploaded
- Application Processing
- Admission Complete
- Rejected / Dropout
Customizing Student Status
You can fully customize the student lifecycle stages based on your organization’s workflow.
Administrators can:
- Rename existing status values
- Add new custom status options
- Organize lifecycle stages as required
This allows institutions and agencies to align the CRM with their internal admission process.
Automatic Status Updates
Student statuses can also be configured to update automatically when certain events occur within the system.
For example, a status can automatically change when:
- Documents are uploaded
- An application is submitted
- Admission is completed
- Other configured actions take place
This helps reduce manual work and ensures accurate lifecycle tracking.
Manual Status Changes
Staff members with the required permissions can also manually update a student’s status whenever needed.
Difference Between Student Status, Lead Status & Application Status
Student Lifecycle Status is separate from:
- Lead Status
- Application Status
Since a single student may have multiple university or course applications, EduCtrl maintains separate status systems for leads, students, and applications to ensure better tracking and workflow management.
